An old cheese factory transformed into a large emporium style chocolate and confectionery factory shop, where the manufacturing processes can be viewed. Mount Lofty Summit

Rising over 710m above sea level, the summit provides a picturesque panoramic view over Adelaide’s city skyline, as far as Kangaroo Island and Yorke Peninsula on clear days. The gift shop displays a range of Australian giftware and local goods, and also provides tourist information, local maps, brochures and regional visitor guides. A popular place to watch the sunset. The summit is also place for walkers to rest after hiking on one of the many trails. Magnificent café and restaurant. Free Entry.

Mt Barker Summit

Mount Barker Summit provides spectacular views of the surrounding area as far as Mount Lofty, and is a place of particular importance to the Peramangk people. The Summit entrance is open during daylight hours and vehicles can be driven almost to the top with a five-minute walk from the carpark to the peak. There are no facilities at the top – just a beautiful place for quiet contemplation and appreciation of the landscape. The Mount Barker Summit Scenic Drive takes in the Summit Conservation Park as well as the Laratinga Wetlands, where there is a good linear walk.
