Oakbank Racing
Easter
Situated at Oakbank in the heart of the picturesque Adelaide Hills. This Easter racing carnival is held annually on Easter Saturday and Easter Monday and hosts two of Australia’s premier hurdle and steeplechase races. Its unique country racing atmosphere – lavish picnics, family entertainment (Including our famous Easter Egg Hunt!) and exhilarating racing – as well as the opportunity to be a part of an iconic South Australian tradition.
Winter Reds Festival
July
The Adelaide Hills hosts the annual Winter Reds weekend in July, where guests are welcomed at more than 30 cellar doors and associated venues offering an array of sumptuous wine and food events. Events range from exclusive ticketed lunches, dinners and wine tastings for followers of fine food and wine, to relaxed venues offering rustic food, alluring wine, live entertainment and warming fires.
Hahndorf Winter Lantern Festival
August
The poetry-themed festival held in the German Historic Village of Hahndorf is set to make the town glow in August – a community event that can’t be missed. Local artists construct giant lanterns and mentor young locals and community exposure to artistic endeavours through poetry workshops and music. The festival day and parade takes place from late in the afternoon to the evening and culminates in a lantern procession and a fire mural lighting up the night sky.
Bay to Birdwood
September
Regularly attracts over 1500 entrant vehicles. This iconic major event is held annually, alternating between the traditional ‘Run’ (for vehicles manufactured pre-1955) and the ‘Classic’ for vehicles manufactured post-1955 and at least 30 years old.
The Classic Adelaide Rally
November
Started in 1997, the Classic Adelaide Rally is now one of the world’s greatest rallies where cars from bygone eras race against the clock on winding hills roads which are closed for the event.
Christkindl Christmas Markets

Lobethal Christmas Lights

Christmas since the mid-1940s, the Adelaide Hills town of Lobethal lights up in a dazzling display of Christmas cheer and festivity. More than 250,000 people visit Lobethal each year to see this wonderful display.
